Provider Course

Provider Course Description
This course implements the AHA ACLS guidelines established in 2005. Information will be provided via mini-presentations focusing on critical points related to specific algorithms, with each case scenario involving a pregnant or newly delivered patient.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate primary and secondary ABCD surveys with modifications appropriate for pregnant and/or newly delivered patients based on physiologic changes of pregnancy
  • Demonstrate understanding of AHA algorithms as related to the core cases
    of ACLS
  • Apply knowledge of ECG interpretation, skills stations, and algorithms to successful completion of megacode and written exam

Prerequisite
Participants must be competent reading
ECG strips.
