Breakthroughs in patient treatment come from medical research. In keeping with our mission, “To improve the health of people in our region,” St. Luke’s is committed to bringing the latest treatments to our patients through participation in clinical trials.
St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) offers the opportunity to both children and adults to participate in cancer and other related clinical trials conducted by physicians trained in the research process. MSTI has multiple clinical trials available for different cancers and stages of disease.
St. Luke’s Idaho Cardiology Associates has participated in national and international clinical trials specific to the treatment of heart disease for a decade. The goal of our Clinical Research Department is to provide our patients and communities with superior research services that are consistently ethical, caring, and honest in the pursuit of advancing health care and improving lives.

Pediatric Research: Ongoing clinical trials through pediatric subspecialists affiliated with
St. Luke's Children's Hospital include neurology, orthopedics, neonatology, and cystic fibrosis.
All research is conducted under the oversight of the St. Luke’s Health System Office of Research Administration, which includes the Institutional Review Board, which protects the rights and welfare of human research subjects and is dedicated to providing excellence in the conduct of research.
