Three National Awards from Avatar International – 2008/09
Avatar InternationalSt. Luke's Wood River was recognized by Avatar International, an industry leader in health care quality improvement services, for exemplary work in 2008. St. Luke's earned the Five Star Service Award for Inpatient Loyalty and Endorsement, the Exceeding Patient Expectations Award, and the Innovation Award.

Qualis Health Award for Excellence in Healthcare Quality – 2008/2009
St. Luke’s Wood River was recognized by Qualis Health as a statewide award winner for Excellence in Healthcare Quality for 2008 and 2009 in the area of Medication Safety. St. Luke's was honored for developing a beside bar-coding system. Qualis Health is a private, nonprofit health care quality improvement organization dedicated to improving health care delivery and outcomes.


National Award for Exceeding Patient Expectations – 2008Avatar International
St. Luke’s Wood River has been recognized as a 2008 national award winner in health care service quality for Exceeding Patient Expectations by Avatar International Inc., the leader in measuring customer expectations in health care.

St. Luke’s Medical Imaging Accreditations
St. Luke’s Medical Imaging Departments are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and nuclear medicine. ACR accreditation assures patients, referring physicians, and payers that St. Luke's Medical Imaging facilities have undergone a rigorous review process and meet nationally accepted standards of care.

 

Joint Commission Accreditation
St. Luke's Wood River has been continually accredited by the Joint Commission since 2001, for our hospital and laboratory services. The Joint Commission accredits and certifies more than 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.
