Many intellectually gifted children and adults also have a specific learning difference, such as dyslexia, an attention problem, or Asperger’s Disorder. For these individuals, academic success can be elusive. While any bump to the head can potentially lead to a concussion, athletes are among thsoe at the highest risk for this type of brain injury. Join Matthew Jaksetic, licensed and certified athletic trainer from St. Luke’s Elk’s Rehabilitation, as he discusses the latest information on recognition, prevention, and treatment of concussions, and the latest in concussion awareness programs that can help prevent and manage these kinds of injury. Intuitive Eating Series
Be a part of this special opportunity to learn and practice intuitive eating over a free four-class series. Intuitive eating teaches you how to create a healthy relationship with your food, your mind, and your body. Learn gradually how to distinguish between physical and emotional feelings, and gain a sense of body wisdom. Join Becky McCarver, MS, registered dietitian, as she helps you make peace with food and get rid of those "food worry" thoughts.

Diabetes Self-Management Education Program
Whether you are newly diagnosed, or have been living with diabetes, you can learn more about improving your quality of life and preventing diabetes-related complications. Our ongoing programs are led by a nurse and dietitian team committed to providing quality education and self-care skills to help patients manage their diabetes. New Moms' Group
Provides newborn and breastfeeding support and an opportunity to ask questions and learn the basics of caring for your baby. The presence of professionals, as well as other new parents, makes this group a comfortable and valuable experience. Bring your baby and your lunch, if you wish. Offered to parents who have previously taken a childbirth preparation course. Review of relaxation techniques, updated information, and sibling preparation. Includes a tour of the Labor and Delivery suites.

A two-hour prenatal breastfeeding education class designed to help start your breastfeeding experience with confidence and success.
