St. Luke’s Center for Community Health

St. Luke’s Center for Community Health provides a variety of community health services for every stage of life, from childbirth and parenting to healthy aging. We offer health screenings, educational programs and other services tailored to meet our community’s unique needs.

Health Promotion and Wellness Education/Brown Bag Series

St. Luke’s Center for Community Health coordinates educational classes in convenient locations for the entire community. We will also custom-design topics to meet the special needs of your community organization or group.

A wide variety of classes are offered ranging in topics from nutrition to protecting your heart as well as the latest information on headaches and skincare.

Birth and Parenting Initiatives

Programs offered through St. Luke’s Center for Community Health attempt to reduce infant mortality, improve prenatal care and promote continuity of care from birth throughout adulthood. Some of the classes and programs offered include active parenting and on-going childbirth education.

Support Groups

Our staff facilitates a variety of support groups and participation in these groups is free. These groups include the Newborn and Breastfeeding Education and Support Group and Mujeres Hispanas (a support group for Hispanic women).

Donations

St. Luke’s center for Community Health helps to collect and distribute needed food, clothing and furniture for local residents.

Community Action

Hospital staff actively participate in a consortium of community based organizations, working together to maximize, conserve and coordinate resources to improve the health of people in our region. Members of the hospital participate in these and other efforts:
